PROPHETIC SCRIPTURES
Today the Bible opened to Jeremiah Chapter 39.
To Non Christians you are welcome to ponder the wisdom of the words.
The following phrases had special meaning to me, you may find others have this for you.
most scholars over the centuries consider the words " In that day" to refer to the end times" as I also do.
Verse 1. "...an army came against Jerusalem..."
verse 3. "..princes...of Babylon..."
verse 4. "..men of war..fled.."
verse 5.'..overtook..in the plains of Jericho.."
verse 9."...captive..the remnant of the people..."
verse 10."..left to the land..the poor people who had nothing and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time."
verse 12."..do to him just as he says to you.."verse 14 .."JJeremiah form the court of the prison..take him home..""
(prophets often aren't well received among their own people when they give warning, are they?)
verse 15. "...word of the Lord (Yahuah, Yahusha, Ruah whom Christians call Christ Jesus)
verse 16. "Go and speak to..Ebed-Melech the Ethiopian..." (he had rescued Jeremiah)
verse 17."But I will deliver you in that day.."
verse 18. " for I will surely deliver you, and you shall not fall by the sword; but your life shall be as a prize to you, because you have put your trust in me, says the Lord."
As Christ said to the man who asked what do i need to do to be saved? Believe! Put your trust in Him.
We have been given the promise! Amen!
