                                        PROPHETIC SCRIPTURES
Today the Bible opened to I Samuel Chapter 5.
 Two thoughts came to mind immediately.
1. From the 10 Commandments. Thou shall have no other Gods before me. Literally true in this piece of history.When one tries to steal the government form what the people have put in place then bad things do happen. The Israelites had a system that involved a priesthood and a secular head. and this was  disrupted.by the theft of their artifact whom they believed contained some sort of part of their divine leadership. Historians still don't quite understand what was present as there was a "Glory" present.
2 Possessors of stolen property are cursed and so are any of those around the thieves.
We have laws against theft and perjury, etc because our founders understood the 10 Commandments very well that they were the foundation of good governing even in a more secular society where there is no state religion. The abuse of leadership is a curse on everyone and is against any deity or principle of  who we are as humans. The seeds of  destruction come with the going along with it. And in these scriptures, a group woke up ad realized it after terrible things happened to them for being thieves.
Another's interpretation is listed above. The following phrases seemed to have special meaning for the day and events.
Verse 1. "..Philistines took the ark of God ( Yahuah, Yahusha, Ruah)...  "
Verse 2. "..brought into the house of Dagon and sat it before Dagon...Dagon fallen on its face  before the ark of the Lord...too Dagon ..in its place again."
verse 4. "...next morning..dagon on its face..head... and.. palms broken off..only torso left"
verse 5. "..neither the priests of dagon nor any who come into Dagon's house  head on the threshold of Dagon  in Ashdod to this day."
verse 6. "..Lord heavy on the people of Ashdod ...struck with tumors..."
verse 8.."gathered all the lords of the Philistines...what shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel?...carried away to Gath.."
verse 9." destruction...tumors.."
verse 10."... ark to Ekron,..Ekronites cried ...brought to kill us and our people!"
verse 11"..let it go back to its own place.."....dead;y destruction.."
verse 12."..tumors.. cry went up to heaven.."

Linda Joy Adams 5/21/13 9 those of you clicking on to my photostream on Flkr am having problems editing it although pictures are posting. working on it. we are safe form terrible tornadoes so far, but rain is heavy and part of a street washed out. but no one hurt and pray for protection for the Almighty . Have discernment in whom  one donates too. Many groups do  a great job of helping, others don't.
