PROPHETIC SCRIPTURES
Today the Bible opened to James Chapter 2. For non Christians you are welcome to ponder the wisdom of the words.
The folloiwng phrases had special meaning for the day and times.
Or founding documents in the USA are ingrained with : ALL. Freedom for all, justice for all, all equal before he law. James takes this one step further and says that if you believe, then your actions will reflect that belief. One doesn't earn there way to heaven, but one does reveal their true hearts by what they do. This can easily be twisted backwards into what Christ dslilked so storngly about the religious leaders of the early 1st century. They thought and acted as if their deeds and even tithing down to the last 1/10 of a handful of herbs was going to save them; forgetting the poor and homeless and hungry as they walked by spouting prayers of glorrious things and ignoring the injustice and inequality around them shwoing no mercy or compassion for those in great need. .
Verse 1." ...do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ ( Yahuah, Yahusha, Ruah whom Christians call Christ Jesus) ...with partiality."
verse 2."...if.."
verse 3."...you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes..
verse 4."...shown partiality among yourselves and become judges with evil thought?"
verse 5." ..has God not chosen the porr of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which he pronounced to those who love him?"
verse 8." if you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture "You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' .."
verse 9. " but if you show partiality, you commit sin.."
verse 10. " For whoever shall keep the whole law yet stumble in one point , he is guilty of all."
verse 12." So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty."
verse 13. " For jjudgement is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy." Mercy triumphs over judgement."
verse 14. " What..profit .. if someone say he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?"
verse 16.",,, if ..someone says to them 'Depart in peace, be warmed and filled, but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?"
verse 17." Thus also faith be itself, if it does not have works is dead."
verse 19. " ...even the demons believe-- and tremble !"
verse 22." Do you see that faith was working together with his works and by works faith was made perfect?"
verse 24..." man is justified by works and not by faith only."
verse 26. " For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead, also."
