Daughter of Louisiana Ku Klux Klan member recalls her father’s reigns of terror | The Advocate — Baton Rouge, Louisiana see my comment to this woman's courage to tell her story.
This kind of hate is real and used to end in murders never investigated and covered up. Those of moral conscience cannot ignore the evil that exists in this world And if we cover up and try to ignore the past. then we are doomed to let it be repeated in one form or another as we never faced it and OVER CAME IT AS CHRIST CALLS US TO BE OVER COMERS NOT COVER UPPERS. TOPEKA AND KANSAS HAS NOT FACED IT YET AND VOTER SUPPRESSION HAS BECOME THE MODERN DAY VERSION OF LYNCHING SINCE MURDER IS NO LONGER GOING TO BE TOLERATED AS IT ONCE WAS .
I HAVE FOUND THE Black community just as reluctant to face the past as the whites.in this.
Victims did nothing wrong to be born with a darker skin tone than others. And only few whites did the horrendous murders although they held the political power in the past to not let injustice go on. That is the shame of the past, Cover up evil , and not face it and have the courage to end it. But both have not demanded some form justice for the dead. We have a chance now to do something right and good to overcome the past so that NO ONE EVER DOES THIS KIND OF EVIL AGAIN. AS WE ARE NOW UP AGAINST WITH NEW HATE GROUPS OF A FANATICAL MISUSE OF RELIGION.
THAT HAS BARELY TOUCHED OUR SOIL IN THE USA . 9/11/01 was a wake up call but we are too soon to forget that it is all over as the one who did it is dead now. THE HATE DID NOT DIE AND HAS MUCH OF EUROPE AND THE MIDDLE EAST TERRORIZED OVER IT. and we stand in long lines to get on an airplane from it today to be searched as if each one was going to harm another, victims of the hate that we have yet to overcome as a society .. .
