On the Eve of the day Christians celebrate the birth of YAHUSHA whom we Christians call Christ Jesus, the UN Security Council met and voted to send soldiers to Sudan in Africa. As we celebrate the birth of the PRINCE OF PEACE, The world responds with the mechanisms of WAR.
Granted, atrocities against each other and against Christians are going on over there and in many other places in this world and have been for way too long. Today? was chosen by the leaders of the world to take action, but is it what CHRIST WOULD WANT us to do? Wouldn't He want us to have done something already a long time ago to prevent the need for this kind of response? The UN calls soldiers "PEACE KEEPAERS".
Peace keepers with guns is another modern era "DOUBLE SPEAK. Pray for Peace as the Angels said 2000 years ago. PEACE ON EARTH! WHEN THEY ANNOUNCED THE BIRTH TO THE SHEPHERDS. EVEN A NON-cHRISTIAN CAN READ THE TEACHEINGS OF CHRIST AND LEARNS HOW TO ACHEIVE THAT PEACE. CHRIST SAID: "PETER PUT DOWN YUR SWORD AND HEALED THE EAR OF THE ROMAN GUARD PETER HAD STRUCK AT THE TIME CHRIST WAS ARRESTED, THEN CRUCIFIED, LAID IN THE TOMB AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD THREE DAYS LATER SHOWING ALL OF US THERE IS VICTORY OVER EVEN DEATH.
HE CAME AND SHOWED US THE WAY AND HAS PROMISED TO RETURN. MAY WE WELCOME HIM SOME DAY TO A WORLD WHERE WE HAVE LEARNED THE LESSONS HE TAUGHT US AND HAVE ALREADY FOUND HOW TO LIVE IN PEACE WITH EACH OTHER.IT WILL BE OUR OWN DISOBEDIENCE TO HAVE TO HAVE HIM RETURN TO A WORLD WHERE WE DID NOT LEARN THE LESSONS HE ALREADY TAUGHT US AND SHOWED US WHAT TO DO. HE SAID WE ARE TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER AND THAT ALL ARE LOVED. OUR FOUNDERS UNDERSTOOD THIS AND MUCH OF THE BILLOF RIGHTS AND OTHER PRINCIPLES IN OUR FOUNDING DOCUMENTES COMES FROM CHRIST'S TEATEACHINGS. TEACHINGS.
tHE tEN cOMMANDMENTS ARE GETTING TAKEN DOWN FROM OUR PUBLIC BUIlDINGS AS NO ONE SEEMS TO UNDERSTADN THE ORIGNAL MEANINGS IT TEACHES WHICH APPLIES TO EVEN THOSE WHO FLLOW NO GOD. THE BASIC TEACHING THAT NO HUMAN IS A GOD AND NO HUMAN HAS A RIGHT TO RULE OVER OTHERS WITH ABUSES OF POWERS AND DISREGARD FOR THE RIGHTS OF US EACH HUMAN BEING. AS IT WAS A MONUMENTAL CHANGE IN THE BELIFE SSYTEM OF THE ANCIENT WORLD WHERE THOSE WHO TOOK POWER BY FORCE WOUDL DECLARE THEMSELVES GODS AND HELD TE RIGHTS OF TOTAL CONTROL OF EVERYONES LIFE.
OUR FONNDERS UNDERSTOOD THEM WELL AND SO DID THE ANCIENT PEOPLES UNDERSTAND WELL THE EARTHSHATTERING TEACHING WHEN MOSES CAME DOWN FROM THE MOUNTAIN WITH THEM HE WAS DECLAING DECLARING THAT NO LEADER OF HUMANS IS A GOD. PHAROAH WAS NOT A GOD AND WS WRONG TO HAVE DONE WHAT HE HAD DONE TO ENSLAVE PEOPLES AND RULE WITH SUCH INJSTICE AND DISREGARD FOR THE BASIC INALIENABLE RIGHTS OF ALL OF
LIFE ,LIBERTY, HAPPINESS (PROPERTY)
tO GET TO THS UNDDRSTANDING IS TO UNDERSTAND THE ORIGNAL LANGUAGES WHICH OUR FOUNDING FATHERS DID IN THE USA. I do not pretend to be aN expert in ancient langeuages and ne is free to consult with the many who are out there.
If one goes to the summarizing 10TH commandment which says: Thou shalt not COVET. Check for al the meaning of' Covet.' Our English does not fully translate the meaning meaning. We have often been taught it means simply greed. And Greed is a part of the motivation for abuse of pwoer. But it was understood to be a lot o more than that to ancient peoples and this difference put the ancient Hebrews in conflict with other nations whose leaders ruled as gods.
But the emnaing for govt, and for leadership which the Ten Commandments was the "Constisution of the time" refers to that abuse of power, which is more like othe pharse POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTLEY. And then go back and read all the preceeding nine in that context. Even an atheist is being told, one is not a god and shoudl not worship others as such, even if they profess no belief in a Divine Being outside of time and space. Lhe commandment is being directed more to the one holding gret power over others rather than all the others who are to see the one in power does not misunderstand what the teaching means for them. Maybe everyone shoudl do some seroiuous study as to what it really means to take down the 10 Ommeandments form our public buildings. Are we taking down the fundamentals our Contittuin was baed on?
Too much of the LOSS OF PEACE in this world happens because someone gets great power in one way or another than rules with out fairness and justice and demands to be treated as ABSOLUTE Authority subject to no laws and caring nothing about
others. Its why our founders tried and did pretty well in wrting a Constitution to be our ruling document that has those ' BALANCES OF POWEWEARS." so that one who is given great power over others can be stopped in a Peaceful" manner if they begin to abuse that held power. We, the people can stop an dcorrect such behavior without the mechanisms of a war machine.
Hatred and Death has never ended these matters as it festers into another break out. Love One Another is Christ's taeachings and all of us are called to do that. One does not have to like or agree with everyone else, but one has to care enough resepict each others; differences and use our brians and knowledgge and with each other to stop unpeaceful behavior. Something which too often starts at the beginning of life when some among us never have the experience of a loving bringing . That upbringing is being tarnished for many children in this world, as they are hungry and deprived of the basic rights of life as the world too often creates situations where families can not provide for their families.
Abuse of power, is far reaching and every law passed should be written and implemented that rpromotes our inalienable rights and not take them away as those little childeren are being taught about a world that either cares or does not care for each one of them. Someday, a world where the law of love is the only one needed. We have been given the teachings to follow.
Yet, the lessons have not been learned very well. None of us is a perfect person, and its why we are placed in families, as social beings in our communities in this world so we can help each other be free and indepenndent persons with help
fro each other when needed but not in a manner to enslave one another by 'abuse of pow which is the ultimate temptation . . within the family of the total of humnaity humanity. Help given is to be that "hand up and not a hand out." out."
And there is no rights granted to any human to abuse power and rule in manner. Yetr over the centureis time and again someone has been allowed by the masses to gain such total control and rule against the basic principles of humanity and aagisnt the teachings of Peace and Justice for all.
We are created beings, created with FREE WILL and its expected we use that FREE WILL to do and promote good and happiness and life and liberty for all of us. To do less is our failing.
PEACE ON EARTH! AMEN!
