Hope all had a very Merry Christmas! who celebrate the day. Happy Holidays to all. Future may be unknown, but Mr and Mrs Cardinal showed up home for Christmas Day and they are home a month early to build their nests and raise their young from eggs, Mrs Cardinal will lay in the woods behind our house. So do the wild life know that Winter is just about over so soon?
The last couple of years has had extremes in weather, here. Sometimes changes from one to the other in a metter of a day or two.
A couple of years ago they began returning a couple of weeks early. What is the situation this year?
Plant the snow peas and lettuce, etc. even earlier? Winter came earlier this year, and will Spring follow suit? Here, this still means another month of weather cold enough to wear my beautiful new warm winter hat and neck scarf with my coat found among my presents this AM..
Life ebbs and flows with the seasons and our wildlife keeps track of it by means we don't always fully understand even in with all our scientific knowlege.
