Before we had governments who decided who could be married, we had marriage as a covenant relationship before the Almighty. And with women having little personal rights until recent times, permission from the bride's family was needed, sometimes, the woman just was sent to be the bride, and she had no free will in this.
In the Kingdom of Heaven, males and females have free will and choice as Yahusha made clear when He came the first time and the Pharisees were trying to catch Him in some kind of defiance by a trick question using their human-made laws, that pretty much had replaced the Prime Directive of Love one another as He loves us...and those 10 Basic commandments, to be considered as the first constitution of governing and we are not to (covet) abuse power when one is in authority. And in marriage before our times, that meant the Brides' father or male guardian and then her husband as the authority. over her
Paul goes further in his writings, that the Father and then-husband are to love and cherish Respect is always a part of real love. and is to be done. COVENANT IS NOT SLAVERY, IT'S AN AGREEMENT FROM SELF-WILL OF CHOICE. When we believers are called the 'BRIDE OF CHRIST' we agree to be such because we believe and choose to be in covenant with Him for always. We do not give up who we are as unique individuals, but we act and live our lives in order to glorify the covenant relationship. For we are accepting and invitation of unconditional love that far exceeds any kind of earthly love, as its a marriage of being under His divine protection from all evil for always, and He will remove evil and one day all will be redeemed and no more fallen angels, or satan or and evil will be around to ever even try to tempt us to get into trouble ever again, by deceptions that can make even the most faithful stumble and fall into a wicked way, we wish not to go into of a loss of a relationship and permanent separation from the one who IS, WAS AND ALWAYS WILL LOVE EACH ONE OF US FOR ALWAYS AND FOREVER...and KNEW US BEFORE WE WERE BORN..
In this chapter, we have a contract of marriage, for two to be married, who had never seen each other. And the woman was asked if she would agree and she did.
Not to forget, this was a wicked world all lived in, and a woman of faith might have few choices for a husband, among what was available, who even knew of marriage as a sacred covenant at all.
Not unlike, more modern times, when we even have prenuptial agreements, to deal with divorce which defies any sense of covenant relationships.
This does not mean, at times, the covenant is not broken, and then we do the best we can as people of faith. But one who is faithful to the Almighty, would not take marriage as something frivolous to even think its not a promise of forever, but for some rarest of instances. For we are to consider our spouse, and promises made, as something to be blessed by the Almighty and was before we needed the blessing of the secular government which seems to have been initiated more for collection of taxes than any other reason.
Marriage is that covenant contract, that is made with no intent to break it. And if it is broken, only then would the government or society and its laws, get involved if there were disputes, the parties could not resolve amount themselves. For me, we would be taking a view of consenting adults, and as for the needs of children, we have many laws to cover this should society need to be involved.. Someone has to be responsible for minors and our laws have always begun with biology first, and little need of government involvement unless some issue might come up where the rights of children are not being met by whoever is the responsible adult.
Government getting involved with marriage, can and often has gotten into real tyranny of forced belief of one religion or one for all political policy and the values in which children are raised to be part of an believe are going to be learned from parents, or from the secular state which often does not allow for individual freedoms, we all are to have,. at least on becoming an adult.
PICTURE BIBLE IN THE HEAVENS
Going again to the star map of Revelation chapter 12; we have another meaning for this sign and that is the BRIDE OF CHRIST from the LION OF JUDAH....and He is coming to take us to His home to heal and protect us and never will we shed another tear as He will love each one of us for always and forever...He paid the price for our marriage to Him as humanity by His shed blood at the cross and resurrection over death, to overcome death, itself...so each of us could also one day at His second coming. And He will call for us to come as His Bride of humanity and we can choose to answer freely or be lost to the way of evil forevermore.
It seems we have the first instance of the agreement and bride price being paid in this chapter with Rachel to become another mother of all of us...Do the math, as her grandchildren were he 12 tribes of Jacob who walked out of Egypt with Moses, and by now, in 2022; its statistically impossible she is not also our mother by blood and agreement to marry one she had never known, by faith..as He was one of promise and her children and descendants would also be under the promise of eternal life and redemption . And surely she did know a lot of her kinsman Abraham and Sarah and all that had happened in their lives of a walk-in faith and divine interactions also.
Many have disputes about what that sign of 9/23/17 means. But it seems to be a reminder that the time of promise is now in the beginning stages of the final time of redemption and the MARRIAGE SUPPER INVITES ARE BEING SENT OUT and will all be ready in repentance and redemptive professions of faith and belief when one day, the door is opened and we enter in for the MARRIAGE FEAST WITH THE LAMB we know in His first coming as Yahusha, and sent back His Holy Spirit after His resurrection and ascension to be comforter and guide to get through this human journey until the final time of the divine plan of redemption for all of us so we are spared the final wrath when evil is removed.
The sign of 9/23/17; seems clearly to be the signpost that the end times is now underway, but we follow the signs as we have in scriptures and keep the faith and not waiver in our covenant relationship with Him as we WAIT PATIENTLY ON HIM for when its time, whether in our current lifetime or even after in a resurrection of renewal of redemption of even all of creation is ahead. The sign can mean or be a symbol of one or all of the meanings referred to for the event just ahead. And may none choose the side of evil over the real I AM WHO I AM of three in one of LOVE that we have no word to fully understand no beginning and no end. But He paid the price for us all, everyone with His taken on human flesh, that could die a suffering death to save us from the mess we have ourselves into because he created us with FREEDOM AND FREE WILL and that is not going to change...We come to know that HE IS THE TRUTH, WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE..and all He does for us is LOVE THAT IS ALWAYS AND FOREVER...
.No pre nuptials needed, as He gave His all for each one of us and overcame death itself so we can be with Him for always and forever each one of us...and know that evil is real and we want no part of it, as its death, and destruction and wants all of humanity and creation itself annihilated out of hate, that consumes and destroys all... We each come in faith and love and willing obedience as we know in our souls it's the good way that is the freedom to be always and forever to be each one as we were meant to be for always and forever. He only asks we love Him and accept His invitation to life eternal and we have been redeemed to not even wish to want any part of evil or bad to even tempt us...as that will be removed forevermore...

In the name of Yahusha, help us find our way back to You...And may we somehow reach those who do not know or understand who You are and the blessing of life eternal of Divine Love You offer and paid the price for us with Your own shed blood at the cross to overcome death for each one of us to make it to Your wedding supper which is ours also...
Prayers for healing for one and all of us and for me trying to hang on with intent to end the lives of millions like me who cannot breathe without real oxygen that has no ozone in it to inflame and har and lungs swollen...and cannot exert with such.
So much wish I could get done and not been able to for 9 months now still alive due to Your sending me the way to rig up a better ozone neutralizer with the N95 mask activated charcoal filters.....And this bunch running health care in govt and their cohorts of the international cabal has been on a mass genocide for over thirty years now and defies any kind of goodness You teach or taught us to be like...prayers for their repentance and redemption or just removed them so we can have some who will promote life over death and healing over intent to remove life from billions of us....
Don't they seem satan has no use for them either? Help us find our way to save ourselves from what we have allowed to take over in our governments.
We are to be the rulers at the ballot boxes of most nations and we forgot to oversee the process for our own self-survival and glorify You with doing good and not letting evil overcome us...We are to overcome evil with good as You taught us to do and be...Help us to find the way to do this...as it's not what a few can do alone, as been trying to warn all for years now and none would help as even my own rights and documentation, even 39 federal agency judges defied by those of the government contractors now ruling the world and few understand they are of one entity nearly even into international companies even into weapons of mass destruction makes even though in USA DOD is still allowed to be overseen.
How much can the cabal beast system running the companies in shell names and partnerships deals and other interwoven hidden ways.. clearly showed their own lives could and too many being lost and they did;t wish to know and turned on me for even trying to let them know.....They just cannot do that anymore as each can help and often it's just doing their daily job, legally and not falling to those who are looting our public funds, illegally altering laws, and removing our rights of even life. and setting up policies and laws that forbid stepping govt contractors of this one-world beast system our governments have allowed to be the authority over all of us now....And officially by law in 2002, but long before that, evil-doing ignored by those we thought we sent to serve us well in elective office...over the last several decades.
SAVE US FROM WHAT WE HAVE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN TO OURSELVES AND ALL YOU WONDERFULLY MADE...In Your Holy Name, Yahusha, Amen!

When in the New Testament time, words and phrases used like "Bride of Christ" were used, it seems that the faithful of the day fully understood the meaning of what was meant from their own knowledge of the scriptures from even the first few books of the Bible and other writings referenced in them ...Some are now doing studies as many quotes from these other books are able to be lifted to know where they came from and the ancients who studied and were of faith, did know and understand, but in the wicked world of the first century, they chose to ignore it and go along to get along with the evils of Roman paganism,' strange gods who had human sacrifice and perverse ways as the worship which are not even considered legal in nearly every nation of the world now...
It's not that all regions are equal, but that we have the same historical roots, and we got dispersed to the whole world and we kept some good parts, but also we got sidetracked into some ways that are not the teachings of the way to salvation in Him. If we did not always seem to have those in power censoring our histories.. maybe we would not all be worshiping the same One, and Way, even if we might do things somewhat different in worship and practice,
We would have the same basics our one or more ancestors learned in the desert with Moses, and the Almighty;; 40 years of daily miracles where their "shoes did not wear out"
