American Thinker Re SSN of President/ Again poepla reaifling with Sates that don;t know the facts.  SSN's  were issued at the time by the office where one filed. That;s what the first three numbers mean, The middle to are a numbering sequence shoing how long ago it was issued and the last four ar just the sequences for the 5. So President could be in New York, take the train up to CT nad visit an doffice and be given the wrong number. Although it was checked by several pesons, mistakes could happen. Since the late 80's with more systems involved not very probable.  President not having a birth certificate, if he didin;t know he was born in Topeka Ks and what name it was under if his real dad's and he wasn;t told, would make things pretty difiicult.
