I would advise that all have your basic medical info with you at all times. the data base was unreliable before, but what has been going on since last Friday on our records of status and what insurance we have is in complete melt down... as those who have read this blog since 12/08 knows its been messed with ,,, for the primary payers to get out of paying first.
But never like this and every region has something differing in it at the contractor. and if its been done to one, it can be 2 or millions. . Its like every hack ever done has now ended up all jumbled up together in a record in one place and rejumbled for another place. Even those without health insurance are having their medical care captured in it and its not a protected data bases at all. and used nationally and internationally in some cases. Often for medical research which is skewed due to other patients co mingled together in ones own data file
And has anyone seen what their health insurance premiums are to be next year? We have not and that includes Medicare and the Federal employee programs as the new info on coverage still shows this years premiums.
If health care goes into complete melt down.... maybe we will be forced into a single payer plan ,,,, every one go find a doctor and get medical care and the payment to him or her will be a flat simple few schedule as once existed and if they have to call out the NATIONAL GUARD TO START PAYING OUR DOCTORS, ETC.. OFF A SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND FEE SCHEDULE...... could it be any worse than what we have now with trillions being skimmed and scammed by government contractors and insurers trying to get out of paying and allowed to do so even in the government plans. and every year what they get goes down as costs to be in practice goes up.
Just expect longer lines. ...as all may get care... eventually . At least if one doctor is backed up, one can go to any other one that is not.....and the 'idiocracy' of which doctor or hospital takes my particular health care insurances will go in the trash can where it belongs. At least our VETS WILL BE ABE TO GET CARE AND NOT DIE IN PARKING LOTS ANYMORE And if this occurs. then its more imperative than ever that one has their basic medical info with them... medications, adverse reactions and diagnosis. and recent tests and lab work.. The quicker you can be taken care of, the sooner others lined up can also.
and doctors will again have to be allowed to be in charge of health care....
ITS CALLED THE 14TH AMENDMENT OF THE US CONSTITUTION OF EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL. and in the long run, our good doctors will end up with more net profit, not the dwindling money amounts they now take home after all the mandated government contractors are paid and they have to pay all or part of much of it. and if you have an emergency need that can be taken care of at a urgent care clinic and not the hospital emergency room please do some common sense triage yourself. If you are bleeding profusely and can not be stopped without a full tourniquet, etc. the ER is needed as soon as possible,,, but if you sliced your finger etc. and have a big gash and the bleeding is being stopped but stitches needed, my common sense says an urgent care clinic should be able to take care of it. Even though a hurt finger can emit horrific pain.
I AM NOT A DOCTOR AND ONE HAS TO JUDGE... ITS WHY HOSPITALS WHO HAVE CLINICS NEARBY ARE GOOD AS IF ONE GOES ONE PLACE AND NEEDS TO BE AT THE OTHER ITS NOT FAR.. one medical person can start the process and just be continued at the other place.
Doyle finally got a prescription he has been unable to get for nearly a week over the snafu.. but its not over. for years, I have tried to get prescriptions I take all the time, filled as soon as the health plan, etc. will permit being refilled. find out and make a note when to call to refill. Anything one can do , not to be in a medial emergency, helps those who need to be seen at once. Have the phone and fax number or your family doctor with you... No referral will be needed as some do now, but any treatment given needs to be faxed to sent to at least one main doctor you have.. and your family doctor is usually the one who gets it all
I pray to Yahusha whom we Christians call Christ Jesus that a complete meltdown does not occur for this family it nearly has... . but I have seen the signs and tracked just what has been going on with my own records since the COUP OF 2002. and some of the things I have suggested,,, or similar will have to occur if massive deaths are to be avoided. And Congress needs to be prepared for emergency bills to be passed to let a lot of this to occur.... as medical emergencies cannot wait.... too many have died already in a melt down that is not nearly as bad as what we have devolved into now.
An initial outlay of money is cheaper in the long run than this organized crime ring that has been blatantly stealing from us... And Health insurers and workers comp carriers. etc. you did it to yourselves by not being fair and honest and in using money for things other than health care.
Pharmaceutical company pushing drugs that harm has to end... and all need to be able to enter the ingredients one cannot take and get a quick answer yes or no if in the medication. As I used to be able to call and get that from them, and now cannot and adverse reactions have occurred.
And some nations, such as Germany have down clinical trials on supplements and vitamins and if one is able to try the natural first , those should be paid for.. If we can be taking prescription drugs made in other countries the FDA does not inspect, and some harms done now, then we can adopt the studies of a country who has done the studies and not a third world nation in health care...
