Those who look to non Biblical sources for glimpse of the future may have read or hear of Nostradamus of few hundred years ago and his predictions is by the years of 3400 we will be living in the area of the universe called Cancer and Orion??? So even him, who did study scripture and all the ancient Jewish writings, had this concept that humanity was given the whole universe to live in, not just this planet.
While humanity mucks up planet Earth which we have to survive on together for maybe another 100 years, some among us are thinking about the future and that there is a whole universe out there to populate.
I am not a scientist, and my knowledge is what I gad through high school and those introductory courses one has to take in college to be considered 'liberally' educated when one is not going to be majoring in any scientific fields.
It does seem that one main issue with other planets out there is THEY DO NOT SPIN.
As a person of faith I turn to my Holy Book the Bible to see what it says "IN THE BEGINNING....." Those first 5 books is also the Torah for those of the Jewish faith and tells us how we got here and what we are living on and how it was made. I have no doubt that God or Yahusha made it as we Christians call HIM Christ Jesus...
The story of creation may well be one to take very , very literally and see how what we of the 'scientific' generations can make of it and what we need to do.
We already have many in the scientific fields beginning to set aside the theory of going to a planet like Mars and building a big dome to put oxygen and plant life in it; Instead, following the Bible scenario, they are thinking more of creating an atmosphere . MAYBE IN 6 DAYS AND RESTING ON THE SEVENTH BREATHING AIR?
Others have studied our 'unround' planet, it seems to be a lot like other 'rocks; out there and is not perfectly 'round.; Our planet, Earth rotates giving us seasons, night and day and habitable temperatures. But how and why does it not just take off into space?
We are taught its 'gravity' as a force that keeps us in place, but we also have a MOON that plays some part in all of this (REMEMBER, I AM A NON SCIENTIST TRYING TO MAKE SENSE OF CREATION AND IT MAY NOT BE MUCH SCIENTIFIC SENSE TO A REAL SCIENTIST WHO UNDERSTANDS ALL OF THIS ..
Many are now saying that our Moon is not a rock that got grabbed by gravity , but a created object, that is more perfectly round, and it does not spin either so we see one side but not the other from Earth.
Our scientists, are not looking into this object as part of why we have a habitable planet that spins.
The Bible says the sun and the moon were put in place. And we even have some suggesting the Sun may be partly a created object OF COURSE ALL OF CREATION WAS MADE BY THE CREATOR, BUT IT DOES NOT DIMINISH MY FAITH AT ALL THAT SOME 'ANGELS' DID THINGS THAT OUR SCIENTISTS ARE JUST NOW BEGINNING TO UNDERSTAND AND MAY SOON BE ABLE TO DO THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE.?
Maybe, when Adam and Eve disobeyed the good path and listened to the devil and learned how to do evil, they were sent out to be put on some sort of path to learn to choose only the good path and reject the bad no matter how much the temptation.? And be the time, we learn all the science needed to move on out to other parts of the universe, we will have learned to care for each other, and that justice denied one, denies it to all, and that each one is a precious life with some unique gifts and part of the human family. even if we do not all agree or even like each other. 'LOVE CONQUERS ALL' AND JOHN THE APOSTLE SAID "GOD IS LOVE." in his gospel of one who was an apostle of Christ..
And may have even been married* to Christ's half sister, having the same mother. Something that is alluded to in the Biblical telling, but not specifically. *Scholars still are studying who got married at the wedding in Cana when Christ "turned the water into wine." Tradition says that John was the nephew of the high priest and if he was marrying Christ's half sister, then this would have been the big social event of all of Judea.... Christ was the elder and head of the household and no wonder the 'panic' to run our of wine at such an event??? Even the arrival at Cana, is described as if the 'best men' were escorting the groom, John to the marriage??
Too often , its taught as if Christ came out of just an average family and worked a day job like all others. He was of royal blood and many who lived in Nazareth, of Galilee were there due to years passed, the royal HOUSE OF DAVID relatives had to escape out of the jurisdiction of certain 'conquerers." But in those days, blood lines were still regarded as very important.. It was Christ's teaching that gives us the more modern thinking of each of us 'can be what we want to be.' and began to do away with castes and class systems that one was born to and could never leave it. We can move up or down and moving up gives us more responsibility to humanity as gain wealth and power.
Its what one does with their own life, and not what ones ancestors did or did not do that gives us our eternal life as a gift from Christ we can accept or reject. We all rejoice when one who I lost is found and becomes member of humanity as an individual to be respected and loved for who they uniquely are.
Is this what we are doing here on planet Earth, to learn this simple and good choices of freedom and life and love? before we learn how to go out and live all over the rest of the ever expanding Universe? One does not have to practice Christian ways to understand the general principle of this but in some way and some how. Christ is the way to eternal life for each of us....
and we learn how to make ball spin, by putting another one close by and together make the world go round.? with the 'force' holding all in synch.
To the scientists out there, this posting today may not mean much to you scientifically, but to me it makes sense of one of sincere faith and asking HOW CAN THE BIBLE BE TRUE AND NOT IF IT IS TRUE? And that makes all kinds of theories of things possible and science is making more and more of than seem very truthful and scientifically correct.
