HIPAA at 20: A Bipartisan Achievement | HHS.gov If anyone who has read this blog and gone and double checked what has been written here knows, this press release is A BIG 'LIE.!' The only truth is the law exists and has helped in a few isolated instances, etc. but other laws were already present anyway and compliance is not always done even when the real government can help yet. The 'legal lie' is when its entirety is not what the press release states in full. THERE IS BASICALLY NO PROTECTION OF ONES MOST PERSONAL RECORDS ONCE ITS IN THAT NATIONAL DATA BASE OF ALL CLAIMS FILED WHICH IS A GOVERNMENT CONTRACT SINCE 1999.
The original lie at the time was it was only going to be used for medical research groups. That is so broad that its anyone the owner says is doing research of every ones personal medical records and does not have to be anything that will end with better medical treatments.
A 'PAPER TIGER' THAT COST OUR MEDICAL PROFESSION BILLIONS OF DOLLARS AND RESULTED IN LESS PROTECTION IN THE LONG RUN BY NOT COVERING GOVERNMENT CONTRACTORS AT ALL.
The only truth , is that we have lived under a lie for 20 years now, thinking we had privacy and protections and what came was something far worse in a few years. Most medical professionals were already under strict privacy laws from their states and ethics rules, so for them it became a major expense that only raised health care costs, as they then had to be audited and soon those became contracted out to an international cabal The HIPPAA LAW NEVER COVERED GOVERNMENT CONTRACTORS AND STILL DOES NOT. Now health care in the USA is all micromanaged by government contractors who also are being hired by the health care professionals under shell companies names. And even health insurers soon were managed by this cabal and now our health insurers are government contractors. If anything we are back where we were 20 years ago, but we are actually WORSE OFF. The medical profession is audited by the same cabal that has no HIPPAA over it and since 1999 once a claim is filed for payment with any kind of health insurer or health plan NO PRIVACY EXISTS as all the claims and info go into a national data base that is a government contract owed by Emblem Health International formerly Group health inc of NY.
One medical professional has no choice now but to transmit info to one health plan or insurer to get paid and they in turn pass on the info.
A real deadly mess has been created as not only is their no privacy rights at all, but the patient cannot get a copy. And that copy is crucial when other patients records and typos and an occasional intentional alteration is entered when there is a messy liability case and illegal secret deals among this cabal puts the patients rights to a fair settlement outcome at grave risk
At grave risk as this deadly mess is often used for medial treatment especially in a busy emergency room and I had it used for a consult exam once and got the wrong kind of medicine and began to bleed as it was also a blood thinner...
I was able to find out what had occurred mostly because I did not sue the hospital and was told what had occurred. There is at least 4 other patients records co mingled with mine and one is a patient with far different medical diagnoses and another source informed us this was no error at all but an intentional act to subvert workers comp and the third party law suit that they required me to file on behalf of the taxpayer as I a am federal employee. This has caused grave harm but since its a government contract the COUP OF 2002 by act of Congress means that there is no one to turn to for help on this.
Government contractors are not covered by any of the laws of the land anymore due to no funding to enforce any laws, that pertain to anyone else or entity . And that applies to criminal laws not funded either over government contractors so no one can be arrested for blatant criminal acts either since in many ways official government data has been hacked and altered and deleted etc. all over the place.
Either someone at HHS is completely unaware of the real world in the USA where the real government has no control of much of anything anymore as its all contracted out, OR ITS A BIG COVER UP OF WHAT SOME ARE STILL TRYING TO KEEP HIDDEN FROM THE VOTERS WHO MAY DECIDE TO ELECT THOSE WHO WILL PUT THE REAL GOVERNMENT BACK IN CONTROL TO TAKE ACTIONS AGAINST THOSE WHO WILL NOT RESPECT OUR LAWS AND CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.
Congress cannot help on this as they have an unconstitutional self imposed gag order to not mention a contractor, contact one, even when a constituent signs to get into any of their government paid for files, nor can they have a contractor testify before CONGRESS.
SO CONGRESS REMAINS IGNORANT OF THE TRUTH AS THEY AND THE REAL GOVERNMENT HAVE NO IDEA 'OFFICIALLY ' WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON AND BASE LAWS ON THIS FALSE INFO THAT END UP BAD AND HARMFUL ONES IN MANY WAYS.
I carry some of my basic medical records with me just in case neither I or a family member would be able to communicate in case of an emergency.
