And a wake up call to grow up as its written by one assuming a type of 'mother role' admonishing us be thankful for what we have, etc. or whatever you gain from it.
WHAT WAS TRUMP ASKING THE SECOND AMENDERS TO DO?
Any one who has followed this presidential election at all is well aware that whomever gets elected is gong to set the court for leadership of what our laws mean or should mean for maybe the next 20 to 40 years. A legacy that will go far beyond 4 or even 8 years.
We have 2 main candidates that have long resumes of less than perfect behaviors. and we are being asked to choose which one will take the oath of office next years and do their vest for the country and people. Each that most assume will be picking US Supreme Court Justices that most assume will have very different outlook on matters. Personally I wish we had some more in the middle as the extremes of each side is not my personal wish.
So yesterday , I was watching a Trump Rally speech and he mentioned this crucial issues. and referred to a large group of his supporters who are for gun rights not to be taken away as Hillary seems to wish to do . One issue the courts will surely get if laws are passed one way or another eventually.
This is a clear cut issue that whomever is seated on the US Supreme court nominated by our new president will affect us for many years.
Do to the death of Justice Scalia the gun case that came up ended with a 4-4 tie or would be and went back to the lower level courts with no clear outcome waiting for the US Senate to confirm a 9th judges and end the tie. This is going to be with the new president as the Republican Majority in the US senate is not going to allow a vote to pick one until next year, assuming it will be Trump and no Hillary in office.
And this is not the only issue that is basically tied in what the future might hold depending on rulings. With several up in years on the court and some in not the best heath the next president could eventually end up appointing a majority of one slant to the courts and if younger, the whole nations will be living under a certain bias for a possible next generation of time.
I come from a government and social science background and my first thought when I heard Trumps words to the 2 amenders was not for them to go grab their guns and start committing illegal actions at all. But the main media has acted as if that is what he said.. REMEMBER ITS CLEAR CUT THAT GUN RIGHTS IS GOING TO BE ONE OF THE MAIN THINGS AFFECTED BY THE NEW PRESIDENT AND WHOMEVER HE OR SHE APPOINTS TO THE US SUPREME COURT.
The bloc of voters that Trump needs to get up and be active to make sure he gets elected and not Hillary is them . Others are concerned about things also, but nothing has been made more clear, by the current situation without 9 US Supreme Court Justices than this one issue. and many are being held up now that would not be a majority votes. We do not have the fully functional Judiciary Branch of the US Constitution right now. and it could get much worse if one party wins the US Senate and the other the Presidency.
Personally , I do not like guns, and didn't even when my dad took me out when old enough to handle to learn how to respect , and handle one.. WE WERE TAUGHT TO RESPECT THEM FROM THE MOMENT WE COULD THINK. NEVER WAS ONE CONSIDERED A TOY.
Farmers etc., know some sort of rifle etc is needed or some wild animal can kill ones livestock and livelihood and one has no time to call the sheriff to shoot a wild animal in the chicken house having a feast, etc., or killing lambs, etc. in many rural areas, one might get even laughed at for making the call as its expected you have something around to take care of such with .
. Dad never needed an AK assault rifle either. And I only knew one time he had to wing a wild animal and it ran from the chicken house never to return with a BB Gun, although he did have a regular rifle. he chose not to kill it , but scare it off a it was a feral or wild Tom car in the area and it worked. he had sniper skills to be able to do this.
I understand the rights or needs of some to be able to own some from of gun. and city folks just have a completely differing perspective and when there are murders and violence in some one can understand the wish be may that no one have access to something that can inflict deadly harm
Plus the horrible accidents that occurred having one around when small children seem to be able to find and get into anything,. I personally do not even wish to have one around after a tragedy years ago of a church friends family and loss of a 3 year old. It never seemed worth it.
But most of my adult life we have lived in town or city and 911 response times not bad. keeping a phone handy seems more reliable.
SO I UNDERSTOOD WHAT TRUMP WAS MEANING FROM MY OWN PERSONAL BACKGROUND AND UNDERSTANDING OF SOCIETY I HAVE BEEN LIVING AMONG FOR MOST OF MY 71 YEARS. Others, took away a different meaning and its been debated long and hard and every ones had their say in the matters, so THIS IS MINE.
Mine with a diverse background of rural and city and small town and suburb etc. and a full knowledge that the crooks are going to get a gun even if no one else is going to legally be able to buy one. Doesn't every one know that! but I have always been in favor of the waiting period for some with heightened passions, to 'cool off / and not go due something rash and deadly Its always seemed to be a fine line of what should or should not be in background checks. etc. And some of these matters are more need of expertise, etc. when laws get passed, etc. vs. preservation of privacy and rights.
What did I immediately think Trump meant! We have President Hillary Clinton and she intends to take away everyone right to have a gun, even those who have no issues passing back ground checks. etc. And even small ones for protection, etc, and some think she mean even hunting rifles. etc..
We already have a diversity of legal opinions on what the second amendment even means. Some , over on Hillary's side seem to think its about historical times and I speaking of we have the right to have a type of militias like our National Guard, I the states. It was under President Nixon that the states control of the national guard was FEDERALIZED and less control from the states even exists now. Some real unfairness existed with pension rights, etc. as some had some state pensions paid into and then got put over into the federal civil service pension, and I knew some who became disabled and did not have credits enough under either to get a disability check. Its why our laws get so complex at time, its trying to be fair and just to every one affected so no one person is harmed.
Katrina was a real tragedy with the Louisiana National Guard in IRAQ WITH ALL THE BADLY NEEDED EQUIPMENT FOR OUR OWN CITIZENS TO SAVE THEIR LIVES. and hamstrung by government contractors the real government had not authority over either in the COUP OF 2002.
CALL TO PENS NOT ARMS IS WHAT I THOUGHT HE MEANT.
IMMEDIATE ACTION TO PASS A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TO OVER COME THE US SUPREME COURT DECISION BY A PRESIDENT HILLARY CLINTON FILLED COURT. And lots of petitions to get signed to get congress to start the process and then state by state vote on it also. Its where we have few of them ever passed to add to the US Constitution as its a big undertaking and lots of people have to want it and be active to get it done . Trump is right , it would take an organization like the NRA already in place to get it done fast.
Maybe the NRA should be helping our with that deadly data base of all our records, owned by a government contract with Group Health Inc, now Emblem Health International since 1999 and soon may be offshored when the Trans Pacific Asia treaty goes through That medical data base that all of our medical records have been in unprotected by any laws or even HIPPAA laws has been owned by a government contractor since 1999 and all that the head of the USA of this cabal needs to do to take away every one rights to buy or have a gun is hack that data base.
Then no one would pass a background check . Of course if that was done, it would expose the dirty little secret of that deadly mess that has been well covered up since 1999. Although many have died when used for medical treatments according to a 2007 Congressional study that could not be used due to the illegal gag order Congress has on itself. to get some simple law passed to put it under the HIPPAA law and every day patients are put at medical risk when used for treatment .
Unlike the records at your own doctor or hospital, there is no way to get errors and co mingled patients records unscrambled. Even worse now, is since the COUP OF 2002 THERE IS NO REAL GOVERNMENT ALLOWED TO SPEND ANY MONEY BY ACT OF CONGRESS UNDER THE E -GOVERNING LAWS TO DO INTERNAL AUDITS OR ARREST ANY ONE IF THEY PULLED HE ULTIMATE HACK AND MADE EVERY ONE INELIGIBLE TO BUY A GUN. IF DONE BY A GOVERNMENT CONTRACTOR WHICH THIS DATA BASES WAS SET UP TO BE.
Its a record of all clams filed for any kind of health care plan. and now its every one even if they do not have a plan. and never protected by the HIPPAA law. Its the records accessed often when one is treated in a busy emergency room and I had a close call , a second time when a specialist used it and I got the wrong medicine and began to bleed out as it was a blood thinning type. .The patients cant even get a copy to begin to straighten it out and ones doctor nor any one else can straighten it out. I have at least 4 other patients in mine and one is far different typed of patient them me. The others do seem to be heart and type patients but not the same kind. But who knows for sure. and its a life threatening mess for anyone now. I have some of my basic records with me since then .
AND ITS HOW I FOUND OUT AS SINCE I DID SURVIVE AND SINCE I DID NOT SUE THE HOSPITAL. ONE AT THE HOSPITAL TOLD ME WHAT HAD BEEN IN THEM AND THEY WENT BY IT. THAT BEGAN AN EFFORT TO THIS DAY TO GET SOMETHING DONE BUT UPWARDS OF A MILLION HAVE BEEN HARMED OR DIED FROM IT AND NO ONE IN CONGRESS WILL ACT OR DO ANYHTHING . the 2007 study was on WRONGFUL DEATH MALPRACTICE SUITS AND THE CAUSE AND IT POINTED RIFHT TO THIS DEADLY MESS. Tort reform needs to start there at that data base. I do not see why ones own doctor can not access and correct it or start the process at one office visit.? What is a life worth ? For most of us 'priceless."
It would given new meaning to the phrase "everyone went nuts" and I apologize to those who have mental and emotional handicaps as I mean no disrespect to you .
Congress is under a self imposed unconstitutional gag order not to mention a government contract, contact one or ask one to testify. the Acting director of CMS in 2009, Don Berwick MD wanted to get the law changed to put it under the HIPPA law, but congress thought he was not pro life enough??
And this group, for gun rights , or second amenders is large and active and within a couple of years, I think we would have a constitutional amendment to put back the second amendment and the new court be overturned. A better one no one could 'misinterpret again.' . . .
ONE PERSONAL BIAS AND BACKGROUND HAS A LOT TO DO WITH WHAT THINKS ONE MEANS WHEN THE WORDS ARE NOT CLARIFIED. as Dr Ben Carson said to day in an interview, no one went and asked him?
Granted I was taken aback as to any further explanation, but Trump is Trump and he has a way of one liners that is not always well understood the same way by every group with each ones unique personal perspectives. .
TRUMP SEEMS TO DO BETTER IN PRESS CONFERENCES AS HE IS ONE WHO SEEMS TO TAKE NO OFFENSE TO ANSWER A SINCERE FOLLOW UP QUESTON SO THAT ITS CLEAR WHAT HE MEANS TO ALL.
One of these two is going to be seated in the oval office next year, and we have to vote for the one we think will do the best for us. Trump is right if the NRA decides to act, its going to be fast and gotten done with the pen and not with violence.. . I think most are like me.
We may not wish to own a gun. But DO NOT MESS WITH MY RIGHTS THAT OUR FOUNDERS GAVE US FOR GOOD REASONS THEY FACED FIRST HAND.
