Homeland Security Using Private Contractor Vans to Transport and Release Illegal Aliens Inside the U.S. See my detailed response. To turn newly arrived folks over to unaccountable government contractors is injustice for both the people of the USA and for the newly arrived trespassers.
All kinds of horrible things can happen to these people and we do not need that to happen at all /
Some of them may have legitimate claims to be made legal at the border.
This is another human tragedy ,made worse as we are not able to figure out how to manage and influx of people. Have we learned anything since Katrina when another mass evacuation of peoples occurred?
This is another mass of humanity moving. it just happens to be to inside the USA . And to just dump these people onto the streets of one of our cities is a human tragedy in the making for them and for us.
We have unemployed veterans and others and there is no reason we cannot hire theses folks on some kind of temporary government workers to process these folks to determine where they should go?
We have money to spend all over the world and cannot take care of what is going on inside our own borders. and we may need some new categories for temporary permission to stay until their own countries have become more stable and we need to make sure we have not contributed to some of the instability from which they left.
The whole immigration system needs to be looked at in terms of what is going on in the world now and we have to face the fat that by allowing this to get worse and worse over the last 30 years, much of it IS OUR FAULT AND MANY OF THESE HERE WE MAY HAVE TO LET STAY UNDER THE ANCIENT COMMON LAW OF 'SQUATTERS RIGHTS' Face it WE DID IT TO OURSELVES BY NOT CLOSING AND PROTECTING OUR BORDERS AND REDOING QUOTAS that made more common sense AND SOME WERE TO EAGER TO EXPLOIT THOSE HERE WITH NO RIGHT TO WORK GRANTED.AND THE REST OF US REFUSED TO DEMAND JUSTICE FOR ALL EVEN THOSE HERE THAT SHOULD NOT AND TAKE SOME KIND OF ACTION TO LET THEM STAY OR SEND THEM HOME PRONTO.
That is when one trespasses onto ones land and if they stay for 7 years they have ownership rights to stay. land owner used to understand this well. and if someone moved onto ones land one had to either evict them OR make them legal in some way by paying some kind of rent , even if nominal if we wished to help some one in need. We then retain control of our land. WE HAVE LOST CONTROL OF OUR LAND, OUR RIGHTS AND MONIES AND THE WORLD HAS JUST MOVED IN ON US.
We have a right to say who visits, and who gets to stay and live here. Its our home just as our own house or apt is.
We are foolish to think we can take care of the whole world and neglect ourselves. Its not a good example , is it?
Somehow the world community needs to help take care of those fleeing whatever they are fleeing from and create a safe place closer to their homeland so when they are able to return its not so far.
NEW THINKING IS NEEDED but we cannot wait much longer. But the NATIONAL GUARD IS THE ONES TO SEND TO HELP PROCESS AND TAKE CARE OF THEM TEMPORARILY IN A HUMANE AND SAFE WAY. It would be horrible to wake up and learn that these folks hauled off just 'disappeared into some form of modern day slavery or were murdered. '
I know what it like to deal with thee contractors and with no over sight at all allowed, WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING? and neither will Congress be able to learn the truth as they once allowed themselves to find out.
