There has emerged about 5 candidates for president whom each has some very dedicated followers. since the voting yesterday. Do not forget California and several western states have not yet voted. BUT: their is a good chance that the one you want to win , may not win..
What do you do? Some are already saying they will turn their backs on the whole sordid mess and not vote at all in the general election. But if you do that you will miss voting for a lot of other offices in ones state or even locally. And many will have ballot issues to vote on that need all of us having our input on.
REPUBLICANS ARE IN A HUGE MESS ON HOW MANY DELEGATES ONES NEED AND HOW MANY STATES, ETC. OVER TRYING TO BLOCK ONE CANDIDATE A FEW YEARS AGO.
Instead of going back to something more reasonable, we already have a situation where no one will have enough delegates by the time of the convention. The only winners, might by the TV Networks as the REALTY SHOW OF PICKING A CANDIDATE MAY WELL GET NASTY.
And with billionaires able to pick a candidate and finance them or another billionaire run as an Independent could well find us with three candidates with strong showings in November and all the money spent on polling may be wasted money. THIS WOULD MAKE IT EVEN MORE IMPORTANT TO VOTE.
DEMOCRATS DECIDED TO CROWN THE WINNER BEFORE THE VOTING BEGAN as if Hillary was 'owed' the title. This is not a monarchy folks. We decided against one of them over 250 years ago. And even the ones which still exist have a powerful elected body to make most decisions of government anymore.
So few among the Democrats ran and of those who did many had baggage. The one who has emerged as very strong Senator Bernie Sanders is well know to many in the USA through his weekly TV and radio program with Thom Hartmann on Free Speech TV. Many did not realize that all kinds of people with various philosophical political leanings knew him well over many years and to vote for him was not a mystery of voting for one nearly every ones says is honest and trust worthy even if one does not agree with him on every thing.. So to the elite of this world, he has almost thwarted a coronation of a candidate and still might end up the final nominee. to run against someone or some ones the general election.
CHRIST TAUGHT AGAINST ARROGANCE
To presume that any one know how the people think is just that. And many of those who make a living trying to soothsay what will be the final choices of the people is not always going to work when the people participate and more should vote. Someday, maybe that statistical 95% will vote in all elections and then the power of the people will be where our US Constitution says it should be, with the people. Until then big money will rule. And the highest offices left to those who have great wealth themselves are willing to be the 'puppet ' of one with great wealth.
In this election, the phenomenon of Senator Sanders is the people giving small amounts in great numbers which is the spirit of our constitution where even the poor can participate in financial support. WHETHER HE WINS THE NOMINATION OR THE PRESIDENCY HE HAS CHANGED THE USA FOR THE BETTER BY THE PARTICIPATION OF THE PEOPLE.
WHAT DO WE DO IF THE ONE WE WANTED DOES NOT WIN?
Still vote and become involved in other campaigns of other offices. As some day , that person may make his or her way up the political ladder to the top office. Issues that have special meaning need to be kept 'in the face' of those running. Do not let them forget to address these issues what ever they may be. And in the end do vote for some one. then.. those of faith....
PRAY
and in ones places of worship pray that DIVINE GUIDANCE may be listened to by the one who does get elected. SALVATION IS A FREE GIFT TO ANY ONE. And maybe our participation will open the heart and mind of the one elected to follow THAT DIVINE GUIDANCE.
And pray that those in the inner circle to advise also be prayed for to do their best for the elected person and the people.
Even those with a 'tarnished past' can change for the better. And one who seems to follow the will of the DIVINE has too often in the past lost sight of HIM. and we did not get what we thought we were voting for at all.
NOW CONGRESS HAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO ASK
all the unanswered questions about the Oklahoma City Bombing which I KNOW HAS NEVER BEEN FULLY AIRED. The new nominee was a prosecuting attorney for the government and IS AN INSIDER? of the whole truth? Sometimes the opportunity is in front of us to find out things. So to say NO TO NY HEARING OF THE NOMINEE FOR US SUPREME COURT JUSTICE WILL MISS THAT OPPORTUNITY. And those in the US Senate that wish to keep all the issues we know have never been answered 'outed' maybe we should think more prayerfully about returned some of you to another term in office when we ALL GO TO VOTE.
Do the hearing and vetting and ask the questions and then if he is not the one you think should be on the court, VOTE NO!
ITS TIME FOR THIS CONVOLUTED MESS OF VOTING FOR PRESIDENT GET BACK TO SOME KIND OF FAIRNESS FOR ALL. Both parties has gotten caught in trying to CONTROL THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE and party insiders trying to decide what WE THE PEOPLE WANT. You just can not do that in free society where people have their free will. to either run for office or whom we support and vote for . BOTH SIDES ARE CAUGHT IN THEIR OWN RUSES TO SUPPRESS THE VOTES INSIDE THE PARTIES . And it began a few elections ago when the people began to wake up and decide to become full participants in the process as the right and duty of all citizens. No form of democracy will work is all are not part of the process. And for too long, ALL WERE NOT PARTICIPANTS. thus making a mockery of our constitution. Its time to be involved and if the final choices are not our first choices. Pick some one and pray they will do the job. And if they do not, then DO NOT REELECT THEM.
THEN CONCENTRATE ON ALL THE OTHER OFFICES ON THE BALLOT AND ISSUES TO VOTE ON.
They may end up more important that who the president is as CONGRESS HAS THE POWER TO MODIFY WHAT ANY PRESIDENT TRIES TO DO. and they need to know that WE THE PEOPLE are there to support them with our vote and reelect them if their big money donors do not support them. ITS THE FAULT OF ALL THOSE WHO DO NOT VOTE WHEN BIG MONEY TAKES CONTROL AS THE RICH MAN STILL ONLY HAS ONE VOTE LIKE THE POOR MAN DOES. And we have to be too smart to fall for all these ads trying to make us think this one is good and that one is not a good choice. Do not forget to vote for your local school board and sheriff. They affect each one in more direct ways we too often forget. Thank them when they do a good job.! And remember all of our leaders in our prayers.
