Daily Recap 10/30/12: Rodeo Red: President Obama Born In Topeka Ks

Daily Recap 10/31/12: Rodeo Red:President Obama Born In Topeka Ks:
Beautiful Fall day. The pictures coming in form the new York City Area are horrific.. But the double rainbow of promise over a flooded city is a sign after the flood. Same sign given to Noah thousands of years. Condolences for All those who have lost loved ones in this storm.
Many are saying this is Global warming. we live on a planet that has cycles any way. Our knowledge of science tells us this. So why are we still building cities in flood zones? Originally , it was the ports and trade, but is it so important to put lives and gamble the horrific monetary losses from doing it?
Why are risks taken, for greed? The same greed that cost lives and health of so many, like me as those with great wealth had to make a little more wealth and could not build something up to code and then somehow convince those in authority at all levels it was? How could such people have any Joy in having built something that kills rather than something just to make money and human life, irrelevant?
Why the almost 25 year cover up of actions? is it because the over all plan is still on going?  Whose plan? The 'followers' of the 'Evil One.'?  Once we were injured , why didn't they just make sure we all got proper medical care and our benefits paid that the law provides for us? If that had been done, there would have been no need to do the intensive investigation, that has taken place in order to stay alive and keep a minimal livelihood. Why does evil beget evil? Govt officials ignor  Judges and  laws while govt  contractors violate terms of their contracts and do the dirty work of corrupt high level officials; as a matter of routine. The Bible predicts such a time when lawlessness prevails and so many don't want  seem to want to understand it has already occurred and was voted into being by those officials that kept promising to to make things right and instead sold each of us out to the 'highest bidder.' Its not one party or another, both seem to be bought and paid for. A few who don't find any sin of their past played out to ruin any chance of serving the nation and the people. Reflect back  and one finds individuals in elected office that may still be there but no longer have any real positions as they asked the questions and did some investigations and started to do things 'right' and found themselves castigated and 'ruined.'
We live in a society where this happens at ever level, but in politics its so much easier to do it and get by with it. But when it happens to a person in the general society, often no one understands that they are being asked to chastise someone for reasons that have nothing to do with anything but greed and avarice of some one that has power and wants to keep it in the socieity Too often the brunt of this has no idea what they did to have this happen. They just know something or did something that was perfectly all right. . And, too many of the people are still letting themselves be duped by it all. If someone did something in the past we have to decide if they have ' changed' for the better and learned from their ' sin' and will do the right things now. everyone please do vote and vote your conscience. Pray or think over your decisions. Its only ones life and livelihood that is at stake and those of your loved ones in these times.
PRESIDENT OBAMA BORN IN TOPEKA KS:
Back in 1961, my parents were asked to help out a great niece, the president's mother. They had known her father, Daniel Wayne Pope, as a small baby and child out in Colorado before they moved to KS. His great grandmother, Helen Pope was my Aunt Helen., Dad's sister. One summer, teenager Dan got work in a furniture store in Liberal KS and instead of returning home in the Fall, he had stolen the wallet of Stanley Dunham and got into the military and war and then married and had Stanley Ann Dunham.
I had met her soon after she went to live with the Phelps at Westboro Baptist Church, but had no idea she was my second cousin, as she was using the name Dunham and as it later turned out when she needed to get away from there, the Ks authorities had difficulty finding paternal relatives until they contacted the real Stanley Dunham and  he directed them to her  grandparents, the Popes, and they contacted my parents to help out.
The whole business of her parents has always been a real mystery to me. The bio that is out in public would seem that sMother was working in a bank all the time and he was working in a furniture store. That is not the 'whole' truth. I do know that in the Fall of 1963, Aunt Helen and Uncle Millard stopped by our home in Manhattan Ks and they were going to Liberal Ks to take care of some business there. It seemed they had a job of trying to make things up for the real Stanley Dunham. Its a possibility, but I can't recall the details that he may have been a relative of Uncle Millard and obviously he must have ' gone along' with the duplicity.
There was an intentional effort to keep me separated from all this. I do know there was a lot of fear and three had died in the whole mess.
In Jr HS, I always went to the ball games, and am certain I did see Ann as drum majorette for Capper Jr HS when Boswell Jr HS played them So someone may have some pictures of her and would know. The whole city of Topeka Ks seemed to get 'amnesia' after the gossip frenzy led to the attack and deaths. This is a city that has never really dealt with their past and all the things that happened in that city no one wanted to talk about. There was even recent disupte sover setting up a memorial musuem to Brown Vs Board. of Education of Topeka.   My part in this was never in it that I know of, nor others that had a part in making integration happen.. All part of the symptoms of 'amnesia.' that it didin't all happen easily and without controversy and deaths..
I was busy with my own life and our new horse. Dad had bought a rodeo horse that had had some fame in the area. But his current owners had used him to shoot coyotes and he was ' nervous wreck.'. He was sold to my Dad, cheap; with a warning that they thought he might he dangerous to their boys. The owenres were about ready to send him to slaughter.  Dad turned him out into a pasture, took care of him and left him alone for over a year. He did ride him some to go check cattle in Waubaunsee county pasture and ride fence. He's been called Billy, but Dad decided to call him, Red. He was a smaller horse of only about 900 lbs.
I rode him a lot and he was always very gentle with me.But he loved to herd cattle and had been known as a 'cutting horse'. This is where one rides into a herd of cattle and 'cuts' out one animal and separates from the herd. He also was a roping horse and was great at knowing to stop as soon as one had lassoed an animal and would start backing up to keep the rope taut without tapping with feet in stirrups, pulling back on reins or saying any commands. As Dad said, he had suffered great trauma in his life and needed a chance to recover. He lived until he was almost age 30 and after I left home, seemed to remember me when returned for visits
Once when watching Seattle Slew, the race horse, he remended me of Red. who was still alive. Before the race he had started dancing side ways as so excited to race. Red was like that, too. when we would get ready to go herd cattle he was so anxious to get going that he would sometimes do this same side dance. He had a great temperament and desire to excel.  Once on the job, he was all business. He never threw me. He would even trot  for me and Dad could never get him to do that for him. Once I started to lose my balance and he stoppedd so I would not fall off. He loved apples and carrots and knew I would usually have one for him.
Teen years can be filled with all  kinds of new things and feelings, but somehow an outlet was always provided to ;get away' for it all. Riding Red in the evenings and being in the country was a real retreat from all that was occurring in the world. I think I understand why Dad never complained about those twice daily chores, it was his 'retreat.', too from all the things that had happened in his past and was occurring at the time. Being asked to step in for a loved ones child that was in a desperate situation and a city and society of the times that was not being supportive at all. With all the horrible things going on in this world and elected officials that seem to have forgotten that they are there to ' serve' the people and be responsible to look out for others. How can one be happy and  be someone elses' 'puppet.' for their greed and power grabs?
Did they never have a chance to ride a horse named Red, who was happy to just do his job and do it well and appreciative for all the apples and carrots and good feed , water and a nice pasture to graze and warm barn to get into from the rain and cold?
