Daily Recap 10/23/12: Landmark Change: President Obama Born In Topeka KS:
A really nice day. Our teenager cat, whose mother left him here came in with a tick on him and had to get that removed, carefully. He is really getting big. Pretty sure he was born in the woods behind house. And Our other cat was around. One day I saw the mother cat walk away form our place and leave. She was seen at times in the woods and maybe did hang out some at the neighbors cow barn. I don't talk 'cat' that well, but thought her mannerisms was 'odd.' at that point did not know about the kitten. For awhile  Doyle had been giving it a handful of dry cat food daily and then one day another member of the family found him laying under some leaves weakened. At that point he became part of the family. How do two male cats get along. Territorially! When one goes out the other comes in and each seem to take their terms guarding our small piece of earthly Heaven. Each has their own bowls of dried food and water. Vet bills for cats are cheaper, but when ones mother decides her child should stay with you,how can one disagree with the plans of nature and our Creator?
PRESIDENT OBAMA BORN IN TOPEKA KS: Since Donald trump, its reported is not gong to share the birth of the president and his origins, but instead some kind of expose about some kind of marital problems they had , there is gong to be a shared telling of this eye witness account. It would continue, any way as its an account of how one may not  know the Truth of their origins. a one can know form the account here that has been shared since 7/26/12; it can be very confusing when one generation after another shares the same tale, but may only partly be the truth. In our family, it can get very curious as one person after another is witnessed being around that is famous or later becomes famous. 
When achild goes to school , they are often asked to share a family history and children are left with having to repeat what they are told, what else can one do? Then it is later found out to not agree with other information shared that seemed very reliable.
The story of the Simpson family just doesn't seem to be completely true. But we can never know for sure unless everyone is having DNA analyzed to know who is related to who. Many are not going to want to do that , for many reasons. In reflecting back on the story of the president's great great grandparents, I wonder if  my Aunts and Dad, while waiting for grandpa to recover from injuries  and more injures ; didn't take some kind of family history and embellish it with some KS history tey may well hve been taught. My dad did confirm that they did attend school in KS and the school work was too easy. He would do the lesson for the next day and put it in the desk as he'd already done prior one.  Maybe some day, more of this can all be sorted out.. What this writing's attempting to do is share what Is known for sure and source.
Yesterday. One of the president's great aunt's is Pearl Vallier who was the first of the sisters to marry. Uncle Tom and her had several children and lived in Iowa. Iowans have better farm land and one who farms there is usually better off than those in Eastern Colorado.
The summer I was 14, Aunt Pearl calledand said Ivan was coming home for a visit and wanted us to come up to their farm near Council Bluffs as Ivan wanted to speak to my Dad. It was at corn harvest time. . Dad made some kind of arrangement for the livestock and we drove up to Iowa. This was the only time I ever visited them in their big white farmhouse. not a mansion, just one of those that could house a farm family with several children.
Wilma is the oldest grandchild in my Dad's extended family and I , the youngest and the age difference spans over two decades. So many  have passed on..  Uncle Tom was priesthood in the reorganized Church of later Day saints. And have shared hi family's long journey from Russia in the 1800's clear to Utah and returned not agreeing witht way that faith had evolved under Brigham Young. Joining others who 'restarted the faith.' Wilma married a man that had had some kind of 'falling out with Uncle Tom over not being of that faith,so don't know what exactly did happen. Those in her immediately family would know. Its sad when religions splits family. Aunt Pearl later said to me that at times they would see each other in town when shopping. But there children apparently did not have the usual relationships and get togethers at Holidays. We did go over to their home in Omaha, Ne and met Wilma and her children. my second cousins,and one later moved out to Idaho after marriage  then later to Alaska. Aunt Pearl shared that at the time of Dad's funeral in 1989 in Wamego, Ks,Uncle Tom had already passed on some time before that.
Ivan was the second oldest and had attended college at Brigham Young University in Utah, American? U ?in Jerusalom,then received  Doctorate in Sociology from Harvard.Obituary said he had been Rhodes scholar, too.
 He was teaching at Dartmouth and had come home for a visit. He had not yet married.and was about 30?  He later did marry and had a daughter lived in California.dying of cancer in early 1970's?He later  did planning where jr colleges should be put including merging the Pasadena Playhouse into the Calforinia Institut of PerformingArts and moving it into the mountians away from the cities. as was told me by Mom.
He'd been out in the field picking corn helping his Dad , Uncle Tom. I went out with him to help get livestock in and we talked some about where he had been and he asked about my schooling. This was ragweed season, and I started sneezing. One allergy , I do have  and had runny eyes and nose. but am glad I had the chance to have this time with him, as most of Dad's family was a mystery to me.Still is!
At supper time, we discussed many things about the world  situation. My Dad asked me to share my theory of the universe. was a little taken aback, but  did. In the Bible when John the Baptist and others said that the "kingdom of heaven is 'ast hand' explained my theory. that is that in time and space there is the multiple 'worlds.' Scientists now call something on this order ;String theory; or parallel universes. I have never been considered a scientist and have only taken the basic introductory courses in the sciences. I do believe in the Bible and  try to ask "How can this be true" rather than saying not true or trying to make it fit  to common accepted science. I do think there is a collective conscience in this world where many are having knowledge revealed to them as  knowledge and understanding grows.  Ivan did seem interested what I was sharing. He also shared some things about the field of Sociology, which later became my college major and graduated with a BA in it.  We never discussed the Mormon faith at all. But his obituary did  indicate he had gone on into the Mormon faith form the Reorganized branch.
There were so many faiths represented in my Dad's family that one needed to have an open mind but have a solid foundation in what one had as a personal belief early on.
After Supper we went into their living room and I began to understand what Ivan was to do. He was to go to South Ameridca for the Church Of England to determine if they should evangleize it? And they were asking a Mormoan?  He wanted my Dad's opinions on some matters and it was in that ; conclave; I learned how wise My Dad was in matters of evangelizing to other cultures and peoples.. Ivan;s study is still being used in seminary as a model for evangelism. And it was authorizied by the Queen of England as she's Head of the Church. Tomorrow:  The Birth of Modern Evangelism.
