Intellectually Challenged gives gift of the Holy Spirit..

R-word.org - Change the conversation... I'll try my best to use this word. I've already been using learning disability or mentally challenged. This sounds better and is more accurate. I once met an intellectually challenged man at a point in my life filled with horrible physical suffering and trying to work in an impossible situation. This man was known in his church and community as one who prayed for those in need by laying of of hands. He approached me ( I didn't know him) and asked if he could pray for me and I said yes and he did. I was not healed but within a few months changes occurred in my life that removed me from the bad work situation I was in. This person may not be able to do 'book learning' but he sensed my hurt and wanted to help by bringing the Holy Spirit into the direct situation. Many like him are aborted and never live or are shuffled into institutions, etc. and considered less than the rest of us. In Christ's eyes he had just as much right to life and love as anyone else. His gift to me: priceless!
