Judge Bars Major Witness From Civilian Terrorism Trial - NYTimes.com When someone is captured in a war; they should be brought before some kind of judicial panel to find out if they should even be held, etc. What the USA has done by waiting years for some prisoners to have their 'day in court' is a flagrant trashing of our image before the world. With a war that drags on for so many years; we are in a predicament for what to do with a rank and file soldier just following orders and the leaders. This isn't a traditional type war and if those captured have full intent to go out and commit terrorist acts, we can't let them go free and then their confinement should be humane. War is so ugly and I pray for the day that no nation or group will ever want to engage in it again.
